The Void

Muted Dialogue
Aug 23, 2021

In that vast space, I could still feel the void.

That one particular place where happiness is the only way out.

As we watch the pavement darkens, time flies and memories faded.

I watch the shadow grow as the light dims secretly,

leaving me with no option but to let it swallow me whole.

An option was never given,

the whisper of the insincerity filled my dusty eyes.

Should I follow the wind?

Should I pass through the hurricane?

Far from that distance,

that wretched thing I used to call home.

I might have left that to burn.

Time does not help you in erasing the void,

momentarily captured by written words.
